In 2020, JOANNALSM was invited to showcase at Aspara Fashion Week in Merke, Kazakhstan, as part of the ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase (AFDS)—a regional collective founded by Singaporean designer Hayden Ng.

AFDS aims to spotlight the richness and diversity of Southeast Asian fashion, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration through design. Representing Singapore on this international platform, JOANNALSM brought a modern, artful perspective to the runway, sharing the stage with designers from across ASEAN and Central Asia.

The event marked a meaningful step toward deeper cultural exchange and creative synergy, echoing the brand’s belief in fashion as a universal language that transcends borders.
